Passionately in-love
“Parting is such sweet sorrow, that I shall say good night till it be morrow.”
- Juliet (act 2), Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare
According to an article written by Life Science Staff, being in love is - Feeling out of control, thinking your beloved is unique and only focusing on their positive qualities, bouncing between exhilaration, euphoria, increased energy, sleeplessness, a racing heart and accelerated breathing, as well as anxiety, panic and feelings of despair. Intensifying attraction, spending most of your time musing over your "love object," separation anxiety, and longing for emotional union with your beloved, seeking out ways to get closer and day-dreaming about your future together.
Well, if all that is true, then it's official - I am in love! Madly, irreversibly, undeniably in love!
The object of my affections has it all, all that I've ever dreamed and hoped for, and falling in love was effortless and beautiful. It only took 2 glimpses and the magic was on.
O Italy, Italy you stole my heart without wittily!
Venice and Rome built a permanent home in my soul's tiny dome.
I vow to explore my passion in a true Italian fashion,
Vino, Pasta and Sun until I pronounce her The One!

I've been fascinated with Italy for years, and always imagined that I wouldn't have to choose which part of the country to see first, instead be able go on a 6-8 weeks trip and see all Italian sites that have stopped my breath even if only on paper.
Unfortunately, reality has crushed my imagination with a lightning speed while calculating what a trip of that calibre will cost me. If I was to ever see this incredible Master piece of Earthy delights, I had to start with small steps and be content with it. And so I did. Venice was first only by chance, and Rome even by a greater one. I would've imagined Florence would be my very first choice, because of it's endless Renaissance art and architecture, but life happened while I was busy making plans.
It has been few days since my return from Rome, but in all fairness, I am only writing this blog to help myself come to terms with the fact that I am no longer there.
Being lost on the streets of Rome in May is like being lost in a fairy-tail. Well, at least my kind of a fairy-tail - where you feel happy, your face is painted by a wide cheerful smile and you can freely enjoy and admire the unique blend of historical and ancient sites, masterful artistic wonders, vibey modern life, sumptuous cuisine and abundance of blue skies and sunshine.
The grandeur of the city of the "Seven Hills" is everywhere you look. I was completely memorised by it's architectural and artistic splendour and glory, and astonished by the passion and determination of it's creators. The more I learn about Rome, the more I realise I know absolutely nothing. This magnificent city is vast not only in history and art, but in wisdom and knowledge.
Even though I didn't feel the ancient whispers while standing on the grounds on the Roman Forum, and didn't hear the ancient crowd's roars in the Colosseum, I felt the immense significance and influence that Ancient Rome has had on the modern world. I didn't see all Rome has to offer, but I saw and felt enough to know that my heart has been deeply and forever engraved by it's eternal magic.
Love passionately, live to the fullest.....and don't forget to smile!
